Potato and Onion Kababs are made from Grated Potatoes and Grated Onion with the blend of different Spices. The mixture is then shaped into small flat or round patties and then cook until shallow fry.
These Potato and Onion Kababs are popular in South Asian Region specially in Pakistan and India. Where they often serve as an evening tea snack or food street snack. There are many recipes of Potato and onion Kababs but here I will share my unique and easy recipe with you. Follow all the steps.
INGREDIENTS
1. 4 medium size Potato
2. 1 medium size Onion
3. 3-4 Cup Cooking Oil
4. 1 teaspoon Oregano
5. 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
6. 1 teaspoon Salt or as per taste
7. 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
8. 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
9. 4 table spoon Corn Flour
INGREDIENTS FOR CHEESE SAUCE
1. 1 table spoon All purpose Flour
2. 2 table spoon Butter
3. 1 Cup Milk
4. 2-3 table spoon Mozzarella cheese
5. A pinch of Salt
6. A pinch of Black Pepper
RECIPE
1. In a bowl add Water. Then add grated Onion and grated Potatoes to it.
2. After 3-4 minutes, strain all the water.
3. Take a pan and add Oil/ Ghee to it. Turn on the flame and then add grated potatoes and Onion to it. Cook for almost 5-6 minutes on medium flame.
4. Take it out in a bowl and leave to cool.
5. Now add Black Pepper Powder, Oregano, Salt, Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder and Corn Flour. Mix everything well.
6. Make Patties or Snacks of any shape. You can shape the patties with your hands or use any equipment.
7. Take a pan and add Ghee/Oil to it. Heat the Oil and deeply fry the Snacks or Patties for 7-8 minutes on medium to low flame.
RECIPE OF SAUCE
1. Take a pan and add butter and all purpose Flour to it. On medium-low flame cook it very well.
2. Now add Milk to it and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium to low flame. Keep stirring the spoon.
3. Then add Mozzarella Cheese and melt on low flame. Cook until the cheese is melted. Also keep stirring the spoon.
👉 Creamy and Cheese Sauce is ready.
👉 Serve the Potato Snacks with yummy Sauce and enjoy.
