Dumba Shinwari

 Dumba Shinwari is a traditional Pashto dish from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 It is also popular in Central Asia and South Asian Countries, Dumba shinwari is a staple dish in Pashtun Cuisine , which is spoken in parts of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. 

It is also popular in India, Bangladesh particularly among the Muslim populations.




It is a stew made dish with lamb or beef with the combination of other spices. There are many recipes of Dumba Shinwari. But here I will share a unique and Delicious recipe with you. 

Follow all the steps.


INGREDIENTS


1. 1 kg Dumba Meat




2. 1 and 1/2 Cup Cooking Oil


3. 1/2 kg Tomatoes


4. 1 and 1/2 table spoon Ginger Garlic Paste




5. 1 table spoon Salt


6. 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Powder


7. 3-4 Green Chilies




8. 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes


9. 3-4 table spoon Yogurt


10. 1/2 teaspoon Cumin  Powder




111 teaspoon Coriander Powder


121/2 teaspoon Karahi Masala


13. 3/4 Cup Water


RECIPE


1. Add Meat, Cooking Oil and Salt in a pan and cook for 7-8 minutes. Flame must be medium. 



2. Now add 2 cups of water to it and cover the pan. Cook it on medium flame for 40 minutes or until the Meat is tender. 


3. When the Meat is completely tender and it releases Oil then cut Four pieces of One tomato (cut all the tomatoes in the same way), then add into the pan. 




4. Add Ginger Garlic Paste, Green Chilies and 1 cup Water to it. 


5. Cover the Pan and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium- high flame. 


6. By Now the tomatoes will be soft and peel off the Tomatoes skin. Turn the flame from medium to low.


7. Take a bowl and add Yogurt, Black Powder, Red Chili Flakes, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder and Karahi Masala to it. Mix well. 




8. Add this prepared mixture to the pan and cook on medium flame. 


9. Now fry the Karahi well and when it leaves the Oil, remove all it extra Oil. 


10. Garnish with Green Chilies and Sliced Ginger. 



11. Serve with Roti or naan and enjoy your delicious food.
