Peshawari Chapli Kabab is a famous dish from the Peshawar region of Pakistan.It is popular in Pakistan, Afghanistan and all the regions with Pashtun Communities. It is also enjoyed in India, Iran, middle East and Canada.
Peshawari Chapli Kabab is made with Beef with the blend of different spices. The Kababs are flattened and then fried in a round disk like shape, until crispy. There are many recipes of Peshawari Chapli Kabab but here I will share the Original and authentic recipe. Follow all the steps.
INGREDIENTS
1. 2.5 Kg Minced Beef
2. 2 table spoon Salt or as per taste
3. 1.5 kilo Onion
4. 1 kg Tomatoes
5. 1 Cup Maize Flour
6. 1.5 table spoon Black Pepper
7. 1.5 table spoon Cumin Seeds
8. 1.5 table spoon Carom Seeds
9. 7.5 table spoon Coriander Powder
10. 5 table spoon Cumin Powder
11. 1 table spoon Pomegranate Seeds Powder
12. 3.5 table spoon Chili Flakes
13. 1 cup oil
14. Green Chilies
RECIPE
1. In a large mixing Bowl, combine the minced beef and salt. Mix it well and leave it over night.
👉 The purpose of salting the mince over night is that it binds the mince kabab very well other wise If you have to use on the same day, you can add salt and leave for half an hour.
2. Wash Onions and make a paste. Because Onion Paste is use to make Kababs.
3. Now take 2 tomatoes and 250 grams Green Chilies and also make a paste of it.
4. After when we add Salt we have to knead minced beef well.
5. Then add maize flour to enhance the taste. Mix it well.
6. Add all the spices. Black pepper, Cumin Seeds, Carom Seeds, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Pomegranate Seeds Powder and Chili Flakes). Mix it well.
7. Add the Prepared Paste of Tomatoes and Green Chilies. Knead and mix it well.
8. Now add Onion paste by drying them through squeezing out all the water. Mix everything together.
9. Wash tomatoes and slice them very thin. And then add the chopped tomatoes in the paste. Mix it well.
10. Shape the Mixture into small patties or Kababs.
11. Heat the non-stick pan or grilled over medium heat and cook the kabab for almost 3-4 minutes per side. Or until they become golden brown.
12. Serve the Peshawari Kabab with Naan, Rice or your favorite side.
👉Garnish with mint and coriander leaver and enjoy.
