A traditional and delicious Dish in South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. This is specially popular in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
It is a blend of Lentils, rice, wheat and some other Spices and Garnish with Fried Onion and Chopped Ginger.
There are many Recipes Of Dhaleem but here I will share a special and very easy Recipe with you.
Follow all the steps.
INGREDIENTS
1. A small cup of Split Chickpeas ( Daal Channa)
2. 1/2 Cup of Red Lentils ( Daal Masoor)
3. 1/2 Cup Split Green Grams ( Daal Moong)
4. 1/2 Cup Broken Rice
5. 400 Gram Boneless Chicken
6. 1 teaspoon Salt
7. 3 liter Water
RECIPE
1. Rinse all Lentils (Daals) and soak them in 1 liter water for at least half an hour.
2. Add chicken breast into a pressure cooker and add Salt, 2 liter water and 1 table spoon Oil into it. Bring to boil on medium flame for 18-20 minutes.
3. Take a pan and add all Lentils (daals) in a pan with 1 liter of water. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes or until Lentils become tender.
4. Now use a hand masher to mash the chicken and then separate the chicken fibers with the hands.
5. Now add the Lentils mixture in the Chicken Stock (Chicken Yakhni). Turn off the lame.
6. Now add a small Chopped Onion into it. 👆
7. A small chopped Tomato. You can skip adding Tomato but by adding tomato gives a very good color to the Dhaleem.
8. Add 1.5 table spoon of Ginger Garlic paste .
9. 3-4 chopped Green Chilies.
10. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili and 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 table spoon Haleem Masala and mix well.
11. Turn on the flame and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame. then turn off the flame.
12. Heat 3 table spoon of Oil in a pan and add chicken fibers into it and fry for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Then take it out in a plate.
13. For garnishing, Take another pan and add One medium size chopped onion into it. When Onion becomes golden brown then turn off the flame. Take it out in a plate and let it cool.
14. Now grind all the Lentils mixture.
15. Use a pinch or 1/4 teaspoon of yellow food color for having a good presentation color. You can also skip this step.
16. Let it cook for 8-10 minutes on medium to low flame.
17. Shift the chicken fibers into it.
18. Now take a small bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala, 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder, 1.5 teaspoon Coriander powder and 1 teaspoon Chicken powder and mix them well.
👉 Make sure that you do not add all these spices separately. First you have to mix all them in a bowl and then add it in the mixture. It will create an amazing taste to the Dhaleem. You can also add Salt if needed.
19. Let it cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame.
20. Add 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds in the oil in which we fried Onion for garnishing. Fry for 1-2 minutes and then add it in the Dhaleem Mixture.
21. Take the Dhaleem out in a bowl and garnish with Lemon, Chopped mint leaves, Chopped Coriander leaves, Chat Masala and Chopped ginger.
Very tasty Dhaleem is ready to eat. You can enjoy it with Naan, rice or you can also eat it with the spoon.
