A delicious and commonly used Recipe in daily routine meal. It is a fully protein-packed recipe.
It is very popular in Pakistan as well as in India. There are many recipes of Daal Chicken but here I have a flavorful and unique recipe. Follow all the steps.
INGREDIENTS
1. 1/2 Cup Cooking Oil
2. 1 table spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
3. 2 Black Cardamom
4. 1/2 KG chicken
5. 2 tea spoon Salt
6. 1.5 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
7. 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
8. 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
9. 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
10. 3 medium size Tomatoes
11. 3-4 Dried plum
12. 1 Cup Split Chickpeas( Daal Channa)
13. 1 teaspoon Mix Garam Masala
14. Green Chilis and Fresh Coriander leaves
RECIPE
1. Rinse the Chickpeas and soak it for 30 minutes. Drain and put in a pan or pressure cooker to boil. It may take 6-7 minutes in a pressure cooker to boil.
2. Heat Oil in a pan and saute Ginger Garlic Paste on medium to low flame.
3. Add 2 Black Cardamom and saute.
4. When it becomes lightly golden add Chicken and cook until browned. It may take 7-8 minutes.
5. Add Salt, Red Chili Powder, Turmeric powder, cumin Powder, Coriander Powder and fry for almost 7-8 minutes on medium to low flame.
👉 Put the tomatoes in a grinder and make a paste.
6. After adding and frying the spices, Add tomato paste to it.
7. Now add dried plum into it and mix it.
8. Cover with the lid and cook the chicken into tomato paste on medium flame for almost 10 minutes.
9. Add the boiled Split Chickpea to it and mix well.
10. Add Mix Garam Masala to it and then add 1 cup of water to it and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 15-20 minutes.
11. Add Green Chilies and Fresh Coriander leaves.
Serve with Roti, Naan or with Rice for a satisfying Meal.
