Special Mutton Curry is a delicious and flavorful dish made from tender Mutton in a spicy gravy. The ingredients like tomatoes, onion and ginger garlic with the combination of other spices are used in making Mutton Curry.
Special Mutton Curry is a popular dish in South Asian Cuisine. Its roots an be tracked back to the Mughal's in India. Over times, it is popular in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and with other regions of Asia.
There are many recipes of Mutton Curry but here I will share my unique and very easy recipe with you.
INGREDIENTS FOR PASTE
1. 1 table spoon Cooking Oil
2. 2 table spoon Grated Coconut
3. 1 medium size Onion
4. 1 table spoon Coriander Seed
5. 1 table spoon White Sesame Seeds
6. 1 table spoon Char Magaz (Melon Seeds)
7. 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds
8. 1 table spoon Cumin Seeds
9. Garlic Cloves 4-5
10. 5-6 Green or Red Chilies
INGREDIENTS FOR TADKA
1. 1 medium size Onion
2. 3-4 medium size Tomatoes
3. 1 and Half table spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
4. 1 kg Mutton
5. 2 Green Cardamom
6. 2 Black Cardamom
7. 1 table spoon Coriander Powder
8. 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
9. 1 table spoon Salt
10. 1 table spoon Cumin Powder
11. 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
12. 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
RECIPE OF PASTE
1. Add 1 table spoon Oil to a Pan and leave it to heat on medium flame.
2. Add chopped Onion, Coriander Seeds, White Sesame, Melon Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Green Chilies, Garlic Cloves and Grated Coconut to the Pan and lightly roast on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
3. After roasting add it to the juicer jug and add 1-2 sip of water and grind it well.
RECIPE OF TADKA
1. Add Ghee/Oil to tha Pan and lightly brown the onion for 2-3 minutes.
2. Now add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute for 1 minute.
3. Add Mutton and cook for 6-7 minutes.
4. When the Mutton changes its color then make tomato paste and add it to it.
5. Now add Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Coriander Powder, Red Chili Powder, Salt, Cumin Powder and Turmeric Powder and fry it well.
👉 Tomato and Mutton will release their water so do not use any extra water.
6. When the Tomato water dries up and Bubbles start forming on the top, add the Paste which we prepared earlier into the Tadka.
7. Mix it well and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes.
8. Now add One glass of water to it and cover the pressure cooker and cook for 12 minutes. 3 minutes before whistle and 9 minutes after whistle.
👉 If you are cooking in a Pan then use 1 liter water and cook for 40 minutes.
9. After 12 minutes remove the lid and turn on the flame and add Garam masala to it, the flame should be high.
10. Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with lemon and chilies.
Delicious Mutton Curry is ready to eat.
