Chicken dumpling

 Chicken dumpling are also known as Momos. This is a popular dish in South Asia, Tibet, Nepal and India. It consist of a thin dough wrapped filled with Chicken or other fillings, then fried or steamed. Momos are often served with sauce, dipping or ketch up.




There are many recipes of Chicken Dumpling but here I will share my unique and very easy recipe with you. Follow all the steps.


 INGREDIENTS


1.  All purpose Flour 2-3 Cup


2. Corn Flour 1/3 cup or 34 Grams


3. Salt to taste


4. Hot Water 80 ml 


5. Chicken Breast 2 pieces (370 grams)




6. Green Chilies 1 teaspoon


7. Chopped Onion 3 table spoon


8. Spring Onion 3 table spoon




9. Carrot 1/4 cup


10. Coriander Leaves 2 table spoon




11. Black pepper 1 teaspoon


12. Soya Sauce 1 table spoon


13. Butter 2 table spoon


14. Garlic Paste 1 table spoon


15. Ginger Paste 1/2 table spoon


INGREDIENTS FOR SPICY SAUCE


1. 2 table spoon Oil


2. 1 table spoon Chili Flakes


3. 1/2 table spoon Grated Garlic


4. 1 table spoon Spring Onion


5. 1/2 table spoon Sesame seeds




6. 1 table spoon Soya Sauce


7. 1 table spoon Vinegar


8. 1 table spoon Sesame Oil




9. 1/2 table spoon Sugar


10. 1 table spoon Water


11. 1 table spoon Tomato ketch up


12. Salt to taste


RECIPE OF KNEADING DOUGH


1. Add all purpose flour, corn flour and salt  to a bowl. 




👉 Corn flour will make Dumpling/ Momo more tastier.


2. Add some hot water to it. if we use cold water dough will become harder when it becomes cold.


3. Add water gradually until we get a soft kneadable dough. Do not add all the water at a time, in tis case dough will not be perfect.




4. Cover and Keep this dough aside for 18-20 minutes. 




5. Cut the chicken breast into as small as possible. Or you can use a chopper also.


6. When chicken becomes almost in mince form then add it into a bowl.




7. Add finely chopped Onion and chopped green chilies to it. 


8. Now add chopped spring Onion and chopped Carrot to it. 


9. Add Coriander leaves, black pepper powder, soya sauce and salt to it. Mix them well. 




👉 Keep it aside.


10 Add 1/2 table spoon butter to a bowl, put Ginger Garlic paste in it and saute for 40-45 seconds.




11. After saute again add 1/2 table spoon butter into it and saute for 5-6 seconds.


12. Add this saute ginger garlic into the chicken mixture.


RECIPE OF DUMPLING PATTIES


1. Make medium size dough ball and roll it as thin as possible.




2. Make small patties out of this rolled dough with the help of a glass or any equipment.




3. Now place the chicken filling on the top of this one patty and then close this patty from one side.




4. Now bring the two corners of the patty together to give it a shape or you can make it any of your favorite shape.




5. To steam it, pour hot boiling water in a large pan and place a strainer on top of it. Brush some oil to it and place some of the dumpling on it and cover with the lid. 






6. Steam it for 15 minutes.


RECIPE OF SAUCE


1. Put 2 table spoon oil in a pan and heat it. 


2. Add chopped Garlic 1.5 table spoon and fry until golden brown. 




3. Now separate this garlic paste from the oil after it becomes golden brown. 


4. Pour that oil into a bowl and add 1 table spoon Chili Flakes, 1/2 table spoon Grated Garlic, 1 table spoon Spring Onion, 1/2 table spoon Sesame seeds, 1 table spoon Soya Sauce and Vinegar and 1 table spoon sesame oil, 1/2 table spoon Sugar and 1 table spoon Water.


5. Add 1 table spoon tomato ketch up and salt to taste.




👉 After 15 minutes of Steam, serve the Dumpling/ Momos on a plate with this spicy Sauce. If you do not like the chili then you can serve it with ketch up. Dumpligs are ready to eat. Enjoy.
