Butt Karahi Recipe

 Butt Karahi is a popular dish from Lahore, Pakistan. It is typically cooked chicken or Mutton in a wok like Pan called Karahi. 




It is made by Onion, tomatoes, Green Chiles and some other ingredients and serve with Naan or Roti. 

There are many recipes of Butt Karahi but I am 100% sure that my unique and easy recipe will not disappoint your taste. 

Follow all the steps. 


INGREDIENTS

1. 1kg Mutton




2. 3 Tomatoes


31 medium size Onion




4. 1 teaspoon Salt


5. 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder


6. 7-8 Garlic Cloves 


7. 1 table spoon Butter




8. 1 table spoon Coriander Powder


9. 1/2 teaspoon grated Black pepper


10. 4 table spoon Cooking Oil


11. 1 table spoon Ghee


12. 100 Gram Yogurt (Curd)


13. 7-8 Green Chilies


14. Green Coriander + Ginger For Garnishing


RECIPE


1. Put Mutton, onion, tomatoes, salt, and red chili powder in a pressure cooker.




2. Take 7-8 cloves of Grated Garlic and put in half glass of water, mash it well with the help of hands. 


3. Now strain the Garlic water and add this water in the pressure cooker. 




4. Mix it well and then cover the pressure cooker.


5. Cook on medium flame for 12 minutes.

👉 3 minutes before the whistle and 9 minutes after the whistle. 


6. Open the pressure cooker after 12 minutes and peel off the tomatoes. 




7. Dries up the water on high flame. It may take 3-4 minutes. 


8. When the water dries up and tomatoes cooked well, add Butter to it. 


9. Now add Coriander powder, grated black pepper and cooking oil, and cook for    3-4 minutes on high flame. 


10. After cooking for 3-4 minutes add Ghee to it. Because putting all the ingredients step by step will bring the actual Butt Karahi taste. 


11. Cook for 1-2 minutes on high flame.


12. After that keep the flame very low and add yogurt to it. 




13. Cook the Yogurt on very low flame for 3-4 minutes so that the yogurt mixes well. 


14. When the Ghee shows on the top, switch off the flame and take it out in a Serving bowl.


15. Garnish with Green Coriander, Ginger and lemon.



The Delicious Butt Karahi is ready to eat.
