Aloo Ka Paratha

Aloo ka paratha is a popular Pakistani and Indian flatbread, which is made by flour, potato and some other spices. 

This paratha is often served with Pickle, yogurt and with some other dips.



There are several recipes of making Paratha but here I am going to share my unique recipe. 

By following all the steps you will definitely be able to make crispy, puffy and delicious paratha. 

 Ingredients For kneading The Dough

1. 1/2 kg Flour 


2. 2 table spoon Gram Flour (Besan)


3. 1/2 table spoon Salt


4. 1 table spoon oil


Ingredients For  Stuffing


1. 1/2 kg Potato


2. 1/2 table spoon Salt


3. 1/2 cup chopped Green Coriander


4. 1 teaspoon chat masala

 

5. 3-4 chopped Green Chilies


6. 1/2 table spoon red chili



Recipe

1. Add flour in a bowl, and then add salt to it. mix them well and simply knead the dough.


2. Rest the dough for half an hour.



3. After resting for half an hour add 2 table spoon gram flour and 1 table spoon cooking oil, then knead it again for 3-4 minutes.


👉 The purpose of adding gram flour is to make the paratha puffy and soft.


👉 If we add gram flour while kneading the dough, the dough will become very soft then the paratha could not be made well.


4. Make small dough balls and rest them for 5 minutes.



👉the weight of a dough ball should be 50 grams. 


5. After that with the help of hands or a glass, make these dough balls as big as a patty. 



6. Add potato in a pan, the add water and salt to it and keep for boiling. 


7. When the potato boiled well, peel it off and keep it to cool.


8. Now mash the potato with the help of Grater. 


👉Purpose of mashing with Grater is to keep all the stuffing equal.


9. Add green chopped coriander, half table spoon salt, chat masala and chopped green chilies and red chili to it and mix them well. 


👉Salt and chilies can more or less here depending upon your taste.


10. Now add 2 table spoon flour to it. 


👉The purpose of adding flour is to bring the stuffing together 


11. Mix everything very well. 


12. Now make patties of this stuffing with the same size of dough patties.


13. Take one dough patty, place the stuffing inside, and then put another dough patty over it.



14. Make it bigger little by little with the help of hand.


15. After that roll out the bread very gently with the help of a rolling pin. 


16. Roll out all the breads one by one.


17. Heat the tawa on high flame, then turn the heat down from medium to low.


18. Now put the bread on tawa and when it slightly changes color, change the side.


19. When both sides changes color slightly, then add Ghee.


20. Add Ghee on both sides and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame, a delicious, soft and puffy paratha is ready. 

Serve with yogurt, pickle or with your favorite chutney.
