Channa Pulao Recipe

 This is the famous dish in some parts of the world but specially in South Asia. This is commonly made by Rice and Chickpeas with the mixture of spices.

Ingredients


1. One cup Ghee


2. One medium size Onion


3. 2 Green Cardamom


4. One Black Cardamom


5. 4-5 Cloves


6. One table spoon Ginger Garlic paste


7. Two med size Tomato


8. 1/4 table spoon Turmeric powder


9. One table spoon Garam masala


10. One table spoon of dried Tamarind (imli)


11. One table spoon Salt


12. 1 kg Rice


13. One cup Yogurt


14. 1.5 liter Water

 

15. One table spoon Mix pickle


Recipe

1. Add the Ghee to an open pan and put it on the stove to fry onion.


2. Lightly brown the onion on high flame.


3. Add Garam masala, green and black Cardamom, tomato and cook for One minute.


4. Now time to add turmeric powder, salt, imli and yogurt.


5. Lighten the flame while adding yogurt.


6. Cook it on medium flame till the yogurt dries up.


7. Add Water.


8. When water boils add rice to it.


9. Cook on high flame for 2 minutes, turn the heat down and cook for 7-8 minutes. 


10. Delicious Chana pulao is ready to serve with your favorite Chutney and Salad
